As a skill credential, this certificate program has been created to provide additional training to accompany your existing degree(s) to make you stand out in the workplace. An earned associate degree or higher from an accredited institution is required to be enrolled in any skill credential program.

麻豆社鈥檚 Accounting Diploma program combines critical thinking and technology skills with accounting basics for use in your current workplace or serve as a strong foundation to build on if you decide to switch your career path. Graduates of this program will:

• Apply core accounting principles to their future careers. You will do this through understanding fundamental accounting concepts like accounts receivable and payable, cash accounting, inventory management, financial statement analysis, and cost control, among more.
• Utilize technology in accounting with up-to-date software. You will apply accrual accounting principles through said software and financial management software applications. Additionally, there is a course in the use of Microsoft Office for you to gain proficiency in spreadsheet applications among other digital tools essential to your job performance.
• Understand the legal, ethical, and regulatory compliances within this field. You will be able to identify the legal and ethical responsibilities of accountants and bookkeepers in their roles within businesses and community practices.
• Manage payroll and tax preparation with topics in computing wages, deductions, and salaries while maintaining accurate payroll records and preparing government reports. You will also learn how to assist clients with individual income tax return preparation and financial planning.
• Develop financial and auditing expertise with an understanding of financial management concepts like investment valuation, cost of capital, structure, dividends, and budgeting. Additionally, you will learn auditing standards, reporting requirements, and key auditing techniques and procedures.
